About us
Presentation of the founders
In 1982, three yachting enthusiasts, Richard Boulet, François Lemelin and Patrice Lemelin, founded Boulet Lemelin Yacht, situated on the shores of the St. Lawrence River in Québec city, Canada. For now more than 30 years, the unflagging determination of the three founding partners of this boating company has led to a tripartite corporate structure characterized by unwavering quality service.
From the very onset, each partner assumed responsibility for his business specialty, setting personal standards of quality. Patrice Lemelin is in charge of marine product distributions & administration, François Lemelin is responsible for service and repairs and Richard Boulet supervises boat sales and brokerage.
The company structure ensures that customers receive the very best service. If you are looking for a boat, Richard Boulet will find the best boat for you and will deliver it ready to use. If the boat needs repairs, they will be carried out at the company boatyard with parts supplied from the marine products store.
This hands-on approach is the hallmark of doing business at Boulet Lemelin Yacht:
Patrice Lemelin
Nautical products distribution
After completing his studies at the Institut Maritime du Québec in 1982, Patrice Lemelin launched the marine products store. He then transformed it from a conventional ship chandler into a store of warehouse proportions adapted to modern market realities. He also published the first marine products catalog in Québec, with an annual run now exceeding 10,000 copies per year.
Richard Boulet
Boat sales and Brokerage
A 1982 graduate of the Institut Maritime du Québec, Richard Boulet handles sales and brokerage.
François Lemelin
Boatyard
Even before completing a degree in civil engineering, François Lemelin took charge of service and repairs at Boulet Lemelin Yacht, which led ultimately to the establishment of a full-fledged boatyard.
