Because the foam has a closed cell structure it is resistant to the ingress of solid debris. It is easy to keep clean and avoid damage to gel coats, varnish etc. The foam does not soak up moisture, so you don't get water marks on polished surfaces.

As tension is applied to the strap, frictional damage to the surface of the cargo is eliminated because the strap is allowed to slip easily across the polypropylene top surface.

The clips hold the CHOK-A-BLOK onto loose webbing, so they can can be left on loose strapping.  They don't get lost and stay in place for next time.
